I guess if you're used to a warmer climate Melbourne can seem pretty cold, but coming from Tassie, I find it's not too different - it can actually be warmer than what I'm used to!

DeleteI didn't take to Melbourne on my first visit. It was far too cold. But on my second visit, I suddenly wanted to move there! Odd but true.
