Fast Five With...Kelly from Elegantly Academic

I came to Kelly's blog, Elegantly Academic through Sophie at Her Library Adventures quite recently and since then I have spent quite a bit of time going through her archives, checking out her great outfit posts and cute thrifted finds.

Kelly has a great way with colour and I love the way she puts together her outfits. Have a look for yourself, I'm sure you'll agree!

And in the meantime, here are her answers to my Fast Five...

1) What is your favourite piece of art work currently displayed in your home/studio?
I have been fascinated by the watercolours of George French Angas for several years and I am fortunate to have a framed lithograph of Lake Albert painted by him in 1846, which depicts an area very close to where I am currently conducting my PhD research. The lithograph was given to me on my 30th birthday by my boyfriend, so it also has sentimental value.

2) Which blog do you NEVER skip reading (no matter how busy, crook, cranky you are)?
Without a doubt, Post Secret, which I have read for over 5 years now. Luckily, it is only updated once a week!

3) Where is your favourite place to get coffee and/or eggs + bacon and/or pancakes?
A favourite cafe of mine for many years has been A Cafe Etc (also known as "The Marilyn Monroe Cafe") at Brighton, South Australia. I moved to Brighton a couple of years ago & it is now within walking distance of our house!

4) What is your favourite font?
Arial, hands down!

5) What is your favourite city to travel to?
Paris. I travelled there when I finished my Honours thesis in 2006 & fell in love with the city. I took a 12 week course in French last year & I am hoping my post PhD research/work will take me back there. (Paid working holiday? Yes please!)

Thanks so much for participating, Kelly and good luck with your presentation - hope it goes well! :)
