I found Michelle's blog, Hugo & Elsa via another Michelle (of Rock MY Roll - who, btw, is going to be featured in a Fast Five all of her own very soon) and have been drooling over her photographs ever since. She moved from Sydney to Tasmania and I have to say I'm fairly jealous of that lovely kitchen of hers (not to mention the Rayburn!)
Michelle agreed to participate in my Fast Five this week and here's what she said...
My Tea Cosy by Tara Badcock titled "1930s kitchen cupboard" I love her work and have some smaller pieces too. The stitching is incredible, Tara's work is truly beautiful.
2) Which blog do you NEVER skip reading (no matter how busy, crook, cranky you are)?
Soulemama - every morning without fail since 2007.
3) Where is your favourite place to get coffee and/or eggs + bacon and/or pancakes?
Pigeon Hole cafe in West Hobart, baked eggs there are always a treat. However, Hobart's a decent hike from here so locally the best place is at home, with eggs from our own chooks, Matthew Evan's bacon and Red Velvet Lounge sourdough toast. All cooked on the Rayburn of course!
4) What is your favourite font?
Helvetica - classic 50s Swiss styling.
5) What is your favourite city to travel to?
I haven't been to that many cities yet to nominate a favourite, but probably Istanbul or New York. Ask me after I've been to Paris, London, Rome, Copenhagen and Reykjavik... then I'll have a better idea!
If you have an interest in organic, good food (and sighing over a fabulous Rayburn), then head over to Hugo & Elsa - you won't regret it!
Thanks again, Michelle for joining in! :)
