We have been eating some nice tomatoes and the best local feta I've ever ever eaten. The best feta I've ever eaten at all really. It's from Red Cow Dairies at Oldina. If you're local, please check them out and start eating their cheese. You really won't regret it.
We also made our own roti on the weekend and it turned out quite good if you ask me. I was in charge of the rolling out of the dough and I think I did okay at it. The roti was so delicious eaten warm with a generous lashing of butter (proper butter, not marg, not that dairy spread stuff) and it wasn't terribly difficult to make. We've now got a stash in the freezer (it usually freezes quite well, I'm told) for whenever we feel the need. And that's a nice thing to have.
I tested it out on Monday for my lunch at work with some dahl that Shane had made - perfect for these cold wintery days we've been having.
If you've had any adventures in the kitchen lately (or even mis-adventures), I'd love to hear about them.
Take care & stay warm!
