I don't know about you (locals, that is) but I've actually never spent any time in Latrobe. I've been on the bus as a uni student as it rolls through the town, but I've not walked along the main street and had a good old look see in the shops and whatnot.
Are you aware, that there are more (quality) antiques in Latrobe than you can shake a stick at? Well, there are. It is a dangerous, dangerous place if you like old stuff that's in good nick. Trust.
I can't wait to go back. With more money.
Oh, and just in case you were wondering, you are able to obtain a very tasty egg and bacon pie with some tomato relish that (almost) rivals mum's at Bicci Blue bakery. They also have cute little caramel tarts topped with chocolate. Just in case you need some of those as well. (You need some of those as well.)

DeleteWhat a cute little town. The best second hand bargains are always found in these sorts of places! I'd be there in a heartbeat! Jx
ReplyDeleteWell, I have to be honest - I don't know about bargains - I definitely won't be going back until my bank balance is looking a lot healthier!
